Oh, I see so many WOWs!
They are but sadly founded on woes
as one wonders Taj, other at Petra,
all wonder at Seven Wonders new etcetera!

See those monuments of yore,
in some memory, settling a score,
through scores of hapless slaves.
Hadn't they asked for more wages?

Not counted in the lore for an equal pie
they had to but build
or die before giving their best and not lie,
to each one cruel /charitable ruler goes by.

Put finally his/her boastful pride in the casting,
showcased a unique thing, not typecasting,
to woo the hearts of dead souls and dear women,
alas ruined legions of many a starving minion.

Are we glad we treasure our own immortality
in such beauties of sweat and toil--
posing with them for a picture
with our loved ones in the backdrop.
